Andrew Farmer

Andrew works in the tradition of En plein air working from observation outdoors in the field, studying different times of day and weather conditions. Drawing is central to Andrew’s work and in 2019 he was awarded the Richard Ford Award, Prado Residency, by The Prince’s Drawing School, London which allowed him to develop his drawing whilst gaining a great insight into works in the Prada Museum in Milan.

More recently in 2015 he has received 2nd place in the Windsor and Newton Award at the Mall Galleries Royal Institute of Oil Painters annual Exhibition.
